We have been building our jewelry wall – basically 15-20 different bracelet and necklace styles for customers to come and make and customize. Each one I have named after the girls that make Make and Mingle so special. I have been working on them for a while now and tinkering to get a full array of styles. They range in difficulty and each has color and bead options so that they can be become as individual as the gal that will wear them. The first is very simple, but can be changed with a rainbow of colors. It is named after my dear Flynn, who is as bright as the sunshine and brimming with personal style.
Look at how brilliant this is. We’ve got all the stuff in the store to make it, can’t wait to see how it works out! Check out the tutorial here
Here is a great little quick project to do with any bits and pieces of trim you might have in your sewing stash. Thinking it might be super cute to doll them up with a little bling and chains. Get the how-to here: http://ohsohappytogether.blogspot.com/2008/09/fun-giveaway.html
I have always loved a local hardware store to find DIY goodies. In the past I have used metal bits and pieces to decorate tees alongside fabric flowers and ribbons. Here is a cool project spotted on HonestlyWTF.
This is one of my favorite projects that got at the store. Probably because it combines those personalized metal disks that are everywhere with fabric. You can get one personalized with any name or word that you desire, then pick your fabric for a truly custom piece of jewelry. I was thinking it would also be cute to sew on a few vintage buttons for a little bohemian flair. Love it!
