So, I’m hooked! Since last year I got pulled into the bright and polished world of Downton Abbey. Anybody who has bothered to spend any time with me has to suffer through my horrible rendition of an English accent. I dream of polished silver trays bearing crumpets and Earl Grey. Oh the life of a Lady! OK, if I can’t have the lifestyle, I can still do a little fine embroidery and pretend as if for just a moment. So why not have a spot of tea (that is said in my annoying accent) and sit and do some needle work as any fine lady should. Here is a beautiful little pattern from Simply notable.

This is an awesome laptop case my daughter made, it’s a variation of the one we have in the store for girls to come in and make. It has a cool “Free People” vibe going on especially with the screen printed remnant she used from one of our summer classes last year.

If you had checked out the blog last month, you would of noticed that I was on a bit of a Martha kick, I’m afraid that it is continuing. What can I say, she has an awesome team.

A lot of my students got machines over the holidays, which means that little “sewing sections” are being set up in their rooms. For the little (or large) sewing areas, here is an original and wonderfully graphic solution for keeping things in their place. Get the know how here.

Monster doll hits the Tote

Although we have tons of drop-in crafts at M&M, there are 3 that are faves… The monster doll, pillow and tote bag. So it seems quite surprising that it took us so long to come up with the idea of combining two of those three into one. Namely by drawing the monster doll template onto our tote.

We presented a young birthday crew with the challenge and they were up to it and answered with 10 little monster oozing with cuteness.
