Bloom

I know, I know.  There are a gazillion fabric flower variations out there.  The thing is that I never get tired of them.  Together with bows it is the quickest and easiest way to satisfy a craft itch.  What is great is that you can do so much with a finished flower…….  Headband, hairclip, decorate a present, a little belt for a dress, a pin, glam up a stuffed animal etc…

This time in an attempt to copy an african violet, I added a bit of embroidery floss to one of the blooms.

Dressed to a Tee!

What could be more simple than taking an old (or new tank) and pairing it with your favorite fabric for a pretty little dress.  I had tired this project before earlier this year but was unhappy with the finishing of the waist.  So with a new crew of girls I gave it a second go and tweaked the pattern a bit.  The result was a dress that was relatively easy to sew and even easier to wear.  True got my sample dress.  We did it with a tank but why not do with a long sleeve tee for fall.
